Ripoff Report is a Criminal Extortion SCAM! Total Proof!

Ed Magedson, the criminal extortionist behind RipoffReport.com

This is a warning for anyone out there who is considering becoming involved with Ed Magedson of RipoffReport.com or posting on it. He is a SCAMMER and EXTORTIONIST and I have total proof below. (Note: I will NOT remove this site exposing him until he removes MY posts from his site as I asked him to)

Basically, he set up RipoffReport.com to EXTORT money from people unethically. When someone posts a complaint, it can never be removed, even if the poster requests or demands it. Instead, they are referred to an arbitration program that costs thousands of dollars! That is pure extortion. There is no logical reason to ask a poster to pay thousands of dollars just to remove his own post on a website. Legitimate sites allow the poster to remove their own posts, or will gladly remove it per their request.

Anyone can put up a site and demand extortion. But it’s highly unethical and an obvious scam. And it’s a loser way to make money as well. Such people have no ethics, conscience, morals and are sociopaths and criminals. That’s exactly what Ed Magedson is.

I emailed RipoffReport asking them to remove my reports at:

http://www.ripoffreport.com/misc-health-specialists/diagnose-me-com-by-s/diagnose-me-com-by-stefan-muth-325de.htm
http://www.ripoffreport.com/on-line-business/diagnose-me-com-by-s/diagnose-me-com-by-stefan-muth-nc4b4.htm

They did not respond. Instead, they expect you to pay thousands for their arbitration program. Here is how it works, according to their site. Note the part in bold.

http://www.ripoffreport.com/remove-a-report/vip-arbitration-program/ed-magedson-explains-7ad2e.htm

“Here’s how it works. We have contracted with private arbitrators who have extensive experience, including experienced judges in court. Once the program builds momentum, we will add other highly qualified arbitrators to our panel. You submit a written arbitration statement identifying the false statements in the report, or explaining that the report was posted by a competitor pretending to be a customer. You are also given the opportunity to support your position with documented evidence and/or sworn affidavits. There is a filing fee of $2,000 to pay for the arbitrator’s time and for administration of the program. The author of the report is then given the opportunity to respond and you are given the opportunity to reply.”

$2,000 just to remove a post that takes seconds to delete?! What a RIPOFF! (pardon the pun) This guy Ed Magedson is dreaming. What low class scum.

Furthermore, take a look at his totally illogical explanation and excuse about why he won’t remove any reports on his site at the author’s request.

http://www.ripoffreport.com/ConsumersSayThankYou/WantToSueRipoffReport.aspx

“If I get the original author of a report to send a retraction demand, will Ripoff Report remove the complaint?

We are ALWAYS happy to hear that a dispute has been resolved! If you reach an agreement to resolve a complaint and the original author is willing to retract his/her report, they can easily post the retraction as an update to their report. This is 100% free and it will let the world know that the matter has been handled to the customer’s satisfaction. We are always happy to hear about parties resolving their disputes amicably and we strongly encourage authors to post updates any time their complaints have been satisfied. However, we cannot and will not consider removal requests from anyone, including a request which claims to be from the original author of a report. The reasons for this are explained above, but to summarize them again, we cannot determine which side to a dispute is telling the truth. Although our Terms of Service prohibit users from posting false information, we simply cannot serve as the judge or jury in disputes between two parties. Likewise, if we receive an email from someone claiming to be the author of a report and asking that it be removed, we have no way of knowing if this request is really from the original author, nor do we know if the request is seeking the removal of truthful information solely because of a threat from the person listed in the report.”

This makes NO LOGICAL SENSE at all. You can easily verify the author of a report simply by either 1) letting them delete their own posts by LOGGING IN to their account first (like legitimate websites do), or 2) verifying that the email address from the author matches the email on the account of the author. It’s that simple! Every other legitimate site works that way. Are we to believe that Ed Magedson has no common sense or understanding of how forums and websites work?! Yeah right.

Even on internet forums, a poster can delete his own post by simply doing it from their account. No one has to email the forum admin or moderator from an anonymous email asking their post to be removed. Magedson’s explanation is stupid and an insult to the intelligence of the reader.

Moreover, Magedson states on his site that he believes in the First Amendment and that anyone should be allowed to say anything about another person or company, so long as the accused is allowed to respond by posting a rebuttal. Well if that’s so, then why doesn’t he apply that standard to himself, and allow users to post negative reports about him and his site on RipoffReport.com, so long as he is allowed to respond to them too? Why does he not allow that? If one truly believes in something, then one will apply it to himself or herself as well. So the fact that Magedson doesn’t, is self-evident proof that he is a HYPOCRITE.

Finally, for some damning and incriminating info about Ed Magedson, see this website about his criminal activities, arrests (with scanned documents and police reports) and $20,000 reward offered for his whereabouts so that he can be served in court.

http://www.ezripofflawsuit.com

The obvious truth is that Ed Magedson is a criminal extortion scammer and a low scum, not that he can’t verify who the author of a report is.

So now that I’ve exposed Magedson and his scam operation, I formally declare that I will NOT remove this site exposing him until he removes MY own reports per my request from his site at the links above.

So if you are seeing this page, then it means that he has not removed them yet.

To Ed Magedson: When you remove my reports, post a notification in the comments section below, and I will check it and if it has been removed, then I will remove this site as well. I hope you will cooperate and find a more ethical way to earn money.

Warning to Ed Magedson: If you do not remove my report as I requested, I will post a copy of this report about you on ScamChecker.com. Once there, it CANNOT be removed, EVER, even at my request! Furthermore, I will also create blogs about you on Blogger and WordPress, containing this report, which will rank very high in the search engines! So do the right thing and remove my report on your site, and we will be all clear.

Thanks. I await your compliance and cooperation.

Sincerely,
Winston

Do you feel cyber bullied on Ripoff Report? Your answer obviously looks to be yes, so I would like you to tell your story on my website safely and anonymously.

LOL Ripoff has been around for SOOO LONG and irritated sooooo MANY people, if they were doing anything illegal, the FEDERAL Government would have had them up under criminal charges by now. Find one documented case where they were bribed to take down a report. That is black mail. If they did that once they would be up under federal and state charges. They would no longer exist. The owner, and his attorneys, would be in FEDERAL PRISON

  • Rlland  On April 20, 2012 at 5:35 pm

I’m sorry dude because I know what you are going through. The only solution I see to Ripoff Report is to flood it, and I mean everyone you know, everyone who has ever been effected by that scam site and everyone who knows that its a scam to FLOOD it EVERYDAY with mediocre complaints about every store, website, company and everything and everybody who has any company in this world. We need a team of dedicated internet users to sign on to that site for at least a few hours a day and write everyday that every company in the world is a scam. Unethical? Yes! Effective? I am 99%positive it will be. If you don’t have the stomach to do this to every company, then please copy and paste this message into every comment section of all sites who report on how ROR is a scam. We cannot expect them to remove the complaints about your site being that they have an effective scam going. They expected you to make this site, what they didnt expect was for us to fight their fire with fire!

    Hello,

If you are willing, would you please make your visitors aware of our attempt to organize victims of RipOffReport.com in order to put enough pressure on Google, Yahoo and other search engines to completely de-index RipOffReport.com from search results. Although Ed Magedson is a heartless opportunist, if it weren’t for the search engines he would be irrelevant to the rest of the world.

Where did you learn to read? Because your logic has one huge flaw. Your very own quote from the Ripoff Report website states that they will remove false statements in the report, not remove the report itself. It’s funny how illogical and irrational people get when they get defensive about accusastions against them. My experience has been the more irrational the response, the more accurate the accusations. What are you hiding? This website and your actions only go to prove that you are probably operating unethically and possibly illegally. Your whole argument is illogical which therefore makes it irrelevant and wrong.

    • romeo0310  On April 4, 2013 at 7:57 pm

Not true. NOTHING in the excerpt from RoR says that they will remove false statements. You must be hallucinating. If it says that, why don’t you post the link and quote where it says that? You must be one of Magedson’s shills. All you do is try to spin the truth by telling lies. There is nothing irrational in my report. Your statements are baseless. It is logic and fact based. You can’t deceive anyone here. Sorry.

“My experience has been the more irrational the response, the more accurate the accusations”
      BLAAhahaha!
Suppose your daughters’ teen-aged babysitter gets pissed off at you because you fired her for being irresponsible. In an effort to exact revenge, she jumps on her Facebook page and accuses you of exposing yourself and forcing her to touch your penis.
Based on your “experience”, if you very strongly disagree, most likely you may be guilty!!!?
Based on my experience (23 years legal arbitration) … You’re an idiot!
Ripoff report is full of competitors negative comments. RR arbitration is a waste. Best to wreak havoc on his website. Would be fun to hire a couple dozen kids to work full time for a week or two dropping manilla bombs on the ripoff report website,..would cost less than arbitration and do waaay more damage. Would be funny to offer cash rewards to any hacker who could get through his security and crash his website.

This write up I am almost 100% positive was written by someone who actually IS a scam artist named Adrien Stone. There are several claims against his scam software company craigsflagger.me or promethius 20 which sells software for an outrageous price that you can obtain for free. He commonly uses words like extortionist and scum and scam artist which actually describe himself to a TEE. Don’t side with this maniac.

Hello –interesting post. I’ve posted to ripoff report in the past when a company refused to refund or complete the work that they were paid in advance to complete, and on the other side of the coin can understand, being a small business owner myself how frustrating it would be to have false reports posted there either by competitors or disgruntled ex-employees, etc – or even legitimate grievances of a customer that later had their issues resolved but to have a permanent public stain on a business’s reputation left on ripoffreport.com even when the customer is now satisfied at whatever resolution was reached. This being said – I think I’d combat the problem a few different ways – first not to continually bring more traffic and backlinks to them (here, on your other sites, on youtube, etc) second to address their credibility with their primary audience or user base by showing the effect of or reason they posted their comment or complaint against the “large company” to which they feel victim can be “updated and countered” by the very website they posted to be heard by another “large company” ( ripoffreport.com) if the complaint is nullified by making a payment as another slap in the face , and third to ask the obvious question – if they’re about trust and “transparency” and an advocate for consumers – why are there no results displayed against ripoffreport.com? I’d likely employ a couple other techniques that I won’t post here or publicly but you get the point. Wish you the best.

Julia Molloy, Molloy Management Group review was a recent victim of the Ripoff Report scam as well. Julia Molloy review was posted by a scam hoping to extort thousands of dollars from her to take it down. Ripoff protects the poster’s identity so they (likely their own inside guy) cannot be sued for slander. Julia Molloy is one of the kindest, honest and most giving people out there (and has a 100% satisfaction guarantee on everything she sells, btw.)

Ripoff report should be ashamed of themselves. Keep the scam to the scammers. Leave the good people of the world out of your filth.

I am not 100% sure where the first amendment went in this article. I believe the very essence of this article is demeaning and not okay. How are you to say the developer of this site is such a scoundrel when you yourself are “cyber bullying” the creator, developer, inventor whatever you want to call it of the site ripoffreport.com … How does that old saying go? Oh yeah, “If you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all.” Ton’s of people use this site to show what kind of crap is out there, once you post online the data is virtually infinitely accessible. Know that what you post online is seen by all before you post it. I have not used ripoffreport, however I understand the essence and I plan to write a review of the car dealership I was screwed at. Which rightfully so I can and it may help others who intend on purchasing a vehicle from this dealership. I guess you have a problem with angieslist too, huh?

ROR is a good website that warns good people about all of the fraud on the internet and in your local area. Seems to me by your own admission and the comments, You people are mad because you were reported and ROR did not remove it! Now you all want to have a hissy fit and cry about it on the internet. ROR is not a scam or fraud because they did remove a report someone else made against you. Are they suppose to just take your word that they are false accusations? That’s what all scammers say. They have a right not to remove something off of their own website. If your that upset, Leave a rebuttal to the report like others, and move on! Reach out to the person who reported you, Don’t cry to the website. If you were 100% doing the right thing, You would not be on ROR to begin with! If ROR had too much time on their hands like yourself, They can sue you for slander.

the report on red raspberries pest solutions is fake. We could prove with phone records…what the complaint said it happened, it never happened and ripoff.com knows yet let’s the report stay there. Why? So we receive calls from people offering to remove that report for a fee of course or ripoff.com itself offering to “work things out” for a fee of course. Work what out? the complaint was fake to start with, why do we have to pay to fight something fake that, based on ripoff.com admission will never be removed from their website ever anyway…so tell me, do we have the right to be upset or what? Wait til they figure you out…a complaint will be filled against you or your company as well then you will understand why we can’t wait for those crooks associated with ripoff.com to get cancer on their birthdays. And you…how can you say “reach out to person that made complaint” when that person doesn’t exist as ripoff.com let’s anyone post anything under complete anonymity.

The guys are good hahahahha. I like this scamp…solid thing…that’s how you do it: write fake reviews then contact the victim and ask to pay up for clearing their name. Forget alquida, ripoff.com are the real terorrists hurting the economy. They had a complaint against our company, we offered to prove it is fake, they refused to even consider anything unless we pay $2000 because they say they respect anyone’s right to free speech. So I promptly filled a complaint against ripoff.com hahahaha. Guess what? Freedom of speech garbage “does not apply” or something because ripoff.com refused to publish my complaint. I hope ripoff;com guys, anyone connected with this website ends up in an inner-city nursing home staffed by $7.50 per hour non-caring people with attitude…that is what they deserve. And of course the hundreds of law enforcement agencies…they deserve to be spit on as well, they see pure fraud and ignore it…but if you don’t wear your seat-belt the ninjas with police badges will parachute from the sky hahahahha to uphold the law. Ripoff.com with their actions basically pee on all law enforcement agencies, ripoff.com says screw the law, the law is what ripoff.com says it is and all you law enforcement cowards better not bother ripoff.com and its crime enterprise. Like I said…perfect scam, beautifully-thought and executed…What we have left is bitch about ripoff.com or just wait for karma to take over and it will..it always does…so everyone connected with ripoff.com I pity you and your families.

Hey, I think your blog might be having browser compatibility issues.

When I look at your blog site in Safari, it looks
fine but when opening in Internet Explorer, it has some overlapping.
I just wanted to give you a quick heads up! Other then that, amazing blog!

Hmm it appears like your blog ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I’ll just sum
it up what I wrote and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog.
I too am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m
still new to everything. Do you have any tips and hints for beginner blog writers?
    I’d really appreciate it.

Everything is very open with a clear explanation of the
challenges. It was definitely informative. Your site is useful.
    Many thanks for sharing!

Let me get this straight. So, because Ripoffreport won’t let you remove (nor will they remove for you) a report you wrote, you’re threatening to post your scathing review of them on ScamChecker.com, a site that…wait for it…won’t allow you to delete your report ever nor will they delete it for you. Ever. You mentioned “hypocrite” earlier…
